8.1 Classic products

The most common tape widths are 19, 25 or 50 mm. Available lengths range from 50 m to 1,000 m. However, some applications require larger widths (rubber sheets or other materials for die-cutting), up to 2.50 m: in this case, we speak of "log".

For high-volume production, e.g. baguette adhesives, the tape is wound during manufacture (like a spool of wire). The maximum proposed length is 5,500 m (figure 50 ).

Tapes can be transformed. This involves cutting the tape to the exact shape of the part it will be used on.
