Equivalent damage load (Equivalent fatigue load or Load Intensity Value )
Constant amplitude fatigue loading defined by F eq which repeated N eq cycles produces the same fatigue damage as the entire original variable amplitude signal. F eq can be an effort, a displacement, an acceleration or any other indicator proportional to the parameter (stress, strain, energy dissipated per cycle...) generating the fatigue damage.
Courbe de Wöhler (Wöhler curve or S-N curve )
Representation of fatigue life. Abscissa: number of cycles in logarithmic scale, ordinate: loading amplitude in linear or logarithmic scale.
