4. Measurement of vacuum pump characteristics

4.1 Volume flow measurement

The measurement of the characteristics of different vacuum pumps has been the subject of precise codification by the Pneurop association, an association of manufacturers of compressors, vacuum pumps and compressed air tools formed by twelve European countries. These standards have been adopted by the Association Française de Normalisation (AFNOR) and are currently being revised by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) (see [3] and [Doc. BM 4 270] ).
