design, for example: use of open profiles in a support section subject to tie-rod torsion, or skids too short to absorb horizontal movements satisfactorily; these defects will result in the existence of deformation (torsion), restoring force and/or deformation (tie-rod too short), unanticipated blocking (disengagement of a skid), etc. ;
absence or error of calculation: in this case, abnormal deformation is most often the result of excessive loading;
