4. Rotary pumps

They also belong to the positive displacement pump group, and represent the largest production, as they are used in all industries (chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, etc.) in the coarse vacuum sector; they are also used for pre-evacuation in high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications.

4.1 Liquid ring pumps

Normative definition: "Rotary positive-displacement pump in which an eccentric rotor with vanes projects a liquid against the stator wall. This liquid takes the form of a ring concentric with the stator and works with the rotor blades to define a variable volume".
