  • Atmospheric pressure storage tanks

    Intended to guarantee a certain quantity of water, the volume must be monitored (level measurement), and the useful volume optimized, which implies planning in the design :

    • margins for non-drainable volumes (dead volumes, non-drainable volumes at the bottom of the reservoir);

    • the volume margin corresponding to the low-level threshold: this means that the pump must be stopped to prevent cavitation;

    • the volume margin corresponding to the high level threshold: which means a lack of water in the reservoir;

    • a volume margin for any components added to the reserve during design or operation (e.g.: addition of a filter).
