5. Conclusion
The development of a charge air system increasingly requires a wide range of skills: thermal, fluidic, mechanical, engine, fuel cell, battery, combustion, vehicle, engine control, habitable thermal... The need to simulate the complete vehicle, and not the sub-assemblies independently, is today changing the core business of every equipment manufacturer.
More upstream, collaborative development work between the equipment manufacturer and its subcontractors is needed to design a set of functions, and control their cost, weight and reliability.
