2. What you need to know before carrying out a bench test

In order to optimize the time and therefore the cost of a test campaign, the test objectives must be clearly defined. Based on these, the methodology to be applied, the input data required and the detailed program of operations to be carried out must be described.

The objectives can be divided into three categories, which have a strong influence on each other:

  • parameters to be measured (qualitative and quantitative) and phenomena to be highlighted or monitored ;

  • time allotted for the test campaign and the associated bench occupancy schedule ;

  • budget for the test campaign.
