7. Conclusion

Organic product treatment processes incorporating anaerobic digestion are booming, thanks in particular to the recent development of dry and multi-stage processes, which have now reached a high level of techno-logical maturity. Their scope of application is expanding, particularly in the context of the emergence of new value-added chains, geared towards the conservation and recovery of energy and nutrients, and the production of biosourced molecules. If methanization is to be widely and sustainably integrated into these value chains, overall process performance needs to be optimized.
