5. Skills for working at heights

Work at height is entrusted to a medically qualified and trained person.

5.1 Ability to work at height

There is no recognized and compulsory certificate of aptitude for working at height.

Verification of suitability involves a medical examination by an occupational physician.

The opinion of fitness for work at height involves the safety of the employee, the safety of others and the responsibility of the occupational physician.

The employer must have the occupational physician check that the employee's medical aptitude does not include any contraindications to working at height (sensory or joint problems, addictions, cardiovascular problems, taking medication, etc.).
