4. Equipment for working at height

There is a wide range of equipment available to meet regulatory requirements, depending on the sector of activity and the work situation. It is not possible to deal with all equipment; the main ones are detailed in this paragraph.

4.1 Permanent equipment

For machines covered by article R. 4311-4 of the French Labor Code (CE-marked machines), the characteristics of permanent means of access are defined by the following standards: NF EN ISO 14122 parts 1, 2, 3 and 4.

For other workplaces (buildings, industrial installations, technical premises, etc.), the following standards should be taken as references: NF E 85-013, NF E 85-014, NF E 85-015, NF E 85-016.
