1. Difficult questions for companies

Companies are often confronted with the issue of their employees' health in the context of crisis situations, sometimes highly publicized in the media. These may be individual difficulties, such as a suicide in the workplace, legal action for harassment or a serious accident in the workplace. They may also be collective issues: high levels of stress in the workplace, high absenteeism due to ill-health, a perceived abnormally high number of cases of emotionally-charged illnesses such as cancer (e.g. asbestos-related) or heart disease. Another revealing situation is the filing of an individual complaint, possibly relayed by a trade union.

Most of the time, companies that experience this type of event are caught unprepared. They are faced with a great deal of anxiety, and if they are not sufficiently prepared, they can make management errors that aggravate the situation...
