5. Conclusion
In France, health in the workplace has long been dominated by ideological confrontations. This situation is the result of mistakes made in the past, when industrialization paid little heed to human health in the workplace. By its very nature, a company is a place of divergent interests. But when it comes to health issues, employers and employees have common interests, as long as they are not content with a short-term perspective. In a study carried out for Malakoff Médéric comparing the expectations of employees and managers, we see that on many items, the two parties have similar opinions (table 2 ). However, while 58% of managers strongly agree that employee health is an important concern for them, only 15% of employees feel the same way.
