2. Multi-nozzle acquisition and part profile tracking
Hurel-Dubois, a company specializing in the processing of composites, has developed (French patent no. 92 07787 dated June 25, 1992) a nozzle-holder assembly that enables :
or multi-nozzle acquisition (acquisition of defect mapping on several nozzles in order to reduce scanning and inspection times);
or tracking of the part controlled in distance and/or angle, without programming, in order to control parts with simple evolving shapes.

The nozzles are arranged in a 94 mm square at an angle of 18°, so that each one covers a 30 mm section of the composite part before reaching the area controlled by the previous nozzle (figure
