1. Pipe system design

The design of a piping system must take many factors into account: the allocated budget, customer requirements, in-house know-how, safety, industry standards and construction codes, but also recycling and industrial property. In addition to these "external" conditions, the fluid transport function of a piping system requires that the network be sized to take account of geometric characteristics, thermomechanical loading, the environment and, last but not least, the materials [1][2] .
