5. Packaging study

5.1 General methodology

Packaging accompanies the product it contains throughout its life cycle, from production or manufacture to use or consumption. As a container, it must guarantee the quality of the contents by providing the user or consumer with a product whose quality is as close as possible to that of its initial state at the end of production or manufacturing and, where appropriate, it must facilitate its marketing.

The diversity of packaging functions means that it is not possible to give a general recipe for packaging design. However, the general methodology described here (figure 6 ) should be followed.
