INTRODUCTION
Mechanical protection packaging enables equipment to maintain its integrity between manufacture and use.
The choice and design of packaging must therefore take into account the risks associated with the logistical environment and the fragility of materials.
The packaging will be designed with particular attention to :
their structure, which must facilitate equipment handling and resist deformation stresses;
their surface condition in contact with the material;
shock-absorbing suspension, which limits the acceleration of equipment during falls;
anti-vibration damping which, in addition to shock absorbers, filters out vibration frequencies that are incompatible with the equipment.
This study on industrial packaging consists of four articles:
Packaging for industrial products. Introduction;
Packaging for industrial products. Climatic and physico-chemical protection;
[AG 6 202] Packaging for industrial products. Mechanical protection ;
and Packaging of industrial materials and products;
to which a documentation booklet common to all these articles is attached:
Industrial product packaging. "For more information.
