6. Difficulties, constraints and limits
Today, we can consider that a first threshold of acceptability of virtual reality has been reached in the minds of industrialists: immersion, interaction and real time are now mastered, allowing experimenters to have the feeling of belonging to the virtual world proposed to them. Equipment is almost natural to use and not very intrusive, and software is available that is no more complex than technical computing tools. The skills exist on the market, with several French companies with 15 to 20 years' experience, experts in virtual and augmented reality. These should not be confused with some recent start-ups with no specific skills, who can only simulate the virtual environment using recent low-cost visiocasques.
