An MES project can be a great opportunity to improve a company's performance, thanks to the in-depth knowledge of its processes. However, a company wishing to launch an MES project must be prepared to devote sufficient resources to make the project a success, and get the most out of it. There are no miracles: the company will get out of it what it puts into it.

Above all, it's a great tool for motivating field staff. We mustn't lose sight of this aspect, as a large part of the potential progress is based on this motivation. It is therefore important to include a significant people management dimension in this project, which might seem almost exclusively technical.
