2. Modern approach to execution performance

2.1 Classic" approach

If we return to the two examples given above, it's easy to see that only those working in the field are capable of providing answers to these questions, and then deploying the appropriate improvement actions. And there's a fundamental reason for this: they know what's going on (or what has gone on), and are therefore the only ones able to provide facts, rather than impressions.

So there is a first way to obtain the facts needed to understand the problems of execution. It's "enough" to ask the execution staff to reinforce their information gathering with :

  • more statements ;

  • more measures ;

  • more notes ;
