3. Lifting wedges

3.1 Definition

Lifting jibs are "C"-shaped pieces of equipment whose load-bearing lower arm is connected to the upper arm by a vertical upright.

The upper arm can also be fitted with a self-balancing or adjustment system to reconcile the center of gravity when empty and when loaded.

Depending on the different loads to be entered, the cés can be :

  • cut into the mass;

  • in the form of a reconstituted box;

  • with balancing counterweight ;

  • with adjustable ring ;

  • with spring balancing system.
