2. UML/OCL modeling of programming language properties
A programming language is formally defined by a set of syntactic and semantic properties. The aim of these properties is to provide methods for reasoning about programs, seeking to prove that they verify all the properties that may be required of them. The semantics of a programming language is therefore based on a definition of formal properties describing the syntactic, operational and axiomatic aspects of any program in the language:
