27. Glossary of notations and vocabulary
The notations used are based on generic symbols using a minimum number of letters, sufficiently explicit to avoid (as far as possible) any confusion.
The following notations are strongly inspired by those proposed by Hilliard, in 1962 and Underwood in 1964
