Overview
ABSTRACT
General topology is the branch of mathematics that deals with the fundamental notions used in topology, and their properties. Its theoretical and applicational utility is found in all branches of analysis and geometry, and in many other scientific disciplines. This article presents a first list of more than 70 special topological and metric spaces whose properties or non-properties are detailed examples or counter-examples related to the topological and metric concepts presented in previous articles. This list comprises straight lines, planes, curves and other planar objects.
