9. Conclusion

The recycling industry is positioning itself to receive a large flow of used batteries. Technologies are being put in place to recover all their components, not just the precious metals, the proportion of which is rapidly diminishing. In the space of ten years, we must move on from the age of pyrometallurgy to that of dismantling and robotized sorting of batteries, with component recovery at the highest level (figure 14 ).
