5. Deployment of excreta source separation
Source separation of excreta in France is currently gaining in importance, with the general public and local authorities increasingly taking ownership. It is therefore essential to have the tools needed to draw up public policies on this subject, as well as appropriate project management tools. Certain selection criteria emerge from a review of existing experiences, with a view to drawing lessons from them. These criteria should make it possible to choose certain types of installation over others, in terms of installation, operation and maintenance.
5.1 Development prospects in France
Once we've established that the French are increasingly interested in source separation of excreta, it's time to draw lessons from experience gained in France.
