Biodiversity; biodiversity
Biodiversity refers to all living things, including genes and species, as well as the ecosystems in which they live. The term also includes the interactions of species with each other and with their environment.
Défis sociétaux; societal challenges
Societal challenges refer to the major challenges facing our societies, such as health, energy transition and food and water security, which are among the 17 SDGs to be achieved by 2030. Although the IUCN definition identifies six major societal challenges that can be addressed through Nature-based Solutions, other challenges can be identified and resolved through these interventions.
