5. Sizing reactive permeable barriers
The use of BPRs requires knowledge of a large number of parameters such as :
the water flow to be channelled to the filter doors ;
Hydraulic characteristics of filters ;
filter retention capacities ;
screen dimensions ;
hydraulic characteristics of the screen ;
the presence or absence of a watertight bedrock.
This requires detailed site characterization.
