4.1 1,2-dichloropropane pollution (in Belgium)
In the past, 1,2-dichloropropane (DCP) pollution was measured at an industrial site in Flanders. Significant DCP pollution in groundwater at various depths has been observed. An in-depth study was carried out on the site to develop a conceptual model of the site. The information gathered included, among other things, a historical diagnosis of the site, a characterization of the nature of the pollution, a characterization of the water and soil, three-dimensional knowledge of the geology and hydrogeology, and the location of sensitive targets (figure 10 ).
