6. Conclusion

Throughout this text, we have tried to meet the expectations of the French authorities with regard to hazard studies, mainly by laying the foundations for such studies. It is clear from this document that French regulations governing facilities classified for environmental protection, which incorporate European requirements for hazard studies, clearly define what a hazard study is and what its objectives are. On the other hand, although it sets out the objectives to be achieved, it does not describe the means or methods by which they are to be achieved.

The French Ministry of the Environment publishes a number of guides to help with the drafting of hazard studies, but these are few in number [5][8] . Nevertheless, these guides do not provide answers...
