4. Means of public information and participation
In view of the nuisances and risks likely to affect the environment of classified facilities, a certain number of provisions are laid down in the regulations to ensure that the public (and its representatives), and more particularly neighbors, not only have access to the necessary information, but can also intervene and make their observations known.
Apart from informing the public, the aim is to provide the Prefect with the best possible information on which to base his decision.
