4. Realization

Our focus is on industrial fermenters, from 5 to 500 m 3 , which represent the vast majority of production fermenters. We will not deal with very high value-added production (animal or plant cell cultures, for example), which uses low-volume equipment, sometimes made of glass, and which does not follow the same design rules.

4.1 Sterility aspect

Careful attention is paid to the choice of materials, surface finish, attachments and assembly.

  • The choice of material is the responsibility of the end-user, who may refer the matter to steelmakers for validation of the grade chosen.
