cellular agriculture
A branch of science at the intersection of biology and agriculture whose aim is to find biologically equivalent versions of animal products: in particular, it enables agricultural products to be produced from cell cultures.
blue water
In ecology, liquids flowing into lakes and rivers that are poor in organic matter and living organisms. This term contrasts with green water, which is consumed or evaporated by plants through the natural phenomenon of evapotranspiration (volume of water transferred from the soil to the atmosphere via evaporation from the soil and transpiration by plants).
virtual water
A term used to assess a product's environmental footprint, virtual water is the total amount of water consumed in agricultural or industrial production....
