4. From individual experiences to the collective construction of a consensus statement

With the data accumulated over the years 2014-2016, we organized a workshop that took place on March 29, 2018, followed by the publication of the scientific article in November 2018. The 42 people (winegrowers, association members, councillors, elected representatives, citizens and winegrowers external to the project, members of the – industry, including 19 invited externals) were divided into three tables, one for each 2014-2016 vintage. "When I arrived and saw all this, I realized that we were there to work," said one of the guest winemakers. The challenge was to get each of the players involved to express themselves, with equal legitimacy, taking into account both qualitative and quantitative aspects, and at the same time, to put the debates into critical perspective.
