4. Conclusion

This article makes a contribution on how to support the eco-ideation phase in order to generate eco-innovative concepts. The concept of the eco-ideation meso-mechanism is expressed through a multidimensional, original and operational set of 7 MSEs, inspired by recognized approaches from the scientific literature.

The IEM on innovation through Product Service Systems (PSS), illustrated in detail by the case of a vacuum cleaner, illustrates this approach in both form and content.

This will be completed by a description of the methodological approach used to :

  • present an illustrative case for all IEMs, such as this example of the use of an IEM on a home appliance innovation project;

  • refine the process of selecting the IEMs to be mobilized during a company intervention....
