1. Fundamental methodology

Methodology could be defined as the art of finding the best method for solving a given problem, but we must bear in mind that, in this perspective, the notion of "best" is contradictory, since it depends on priority criteria (best in terms of time, energy, cost, benefits...).

To facilitate the reading of this article, it is useful to recognize the equivalence between methodology and process optimization.
