INTRODUCTION
In this article, we will confine ourselves to the calibration of accelerometers capable of measuring dynamic accelerations, either in the periodic domain (vibrations), or in the impulse domain (shocks).
Different calibration methods - absolute for standards, relative for accelerometers used on a routine basis - demonstrate the complexity of the operations involved in calibrating an ever-increasing number of instruments, which are being used more and more extensively to understand the mechanical environment.
