5. Simple linear regression
To introduce this analysis method, we'll look at two complementary examples. The second differs from the first in that it repeats the values of the explanatory variable.
5.1 Example 1: chemical yield of an experiment
This first elementary example of simple regression is based on a series of experiments studying the influence of temperature T (T = t - 60° C) on the yield R of a chemical reaction, at a given pressure. The data collected are given in Table 15 .
