6.1 Presentation
We conclude this article with an example of principal component analysis using SAS. We refer to Gilbert Saporta's book for the theoretical presentation of this analysis.
Table 17 gives the breakdown of household budgets (in %) for each of the 17 European countries studied, by the following categories: food, clothing, housing, household equipment, health, transport, education and miscellaneous.
