4. Staff training, qualification and certification

The training of personnel involved in magnetic particle testing is essential to guarantee the reliability of the inspection process. Correct application of the procedure, then interpretation of the indications found, then acceptance or rejection of the parts according to the criteria stipulated in the applicable specifications, all require agents to acquire specific theoretical and practical knowledge.

In France, this training is provided by training centres approved by COFREND sector committees.

Note: COFREND stand for French Confederation for Non-Destructive Testing
