At the end of the first part of this article devoted to emission measurements and device immunity testing, let's return to the exploration of intermediate frequencies between 30 MHz and 100 MHz. Measuring or generating fields in this range usually requires the use of broadband antennas based on biconical technology. Thanks to the properties of biconical antennas, an attempt is made to satisfy a compromise between the reduction in antenna span and efficiency criteria expressed in terms of output. As a general rule, emission measurements will not be affected by the use of biconical receiver antennas, since receiver sensitivity is often around 40 dB below the maximum emission tolerance recognized in standards.
