5.1 Measured values
Electricity refers both to the form of energy associated with the movement of electric charges in a conductor, and to the science that deals with electrical phenomena and their applications.
Electric charges can be set in motion by the action of an electromagnetic force, and this flow of charged particles through the conductive material is called an electric current (figure 4 ). Electrons are carriers of negative charge q, whose absolute value is that of the elementary charge (q = –e).
