3. Fourier-domain OCT image reconstruction

In this section, we will go into the details of Fourier-domain OCT imaging, in particular detailing the process and considerations involved in moving from the measurement of an interference spectrogram to the axial information of the scatterer distribution . We will then discuss physical and numerical methods for increasing the depth of field of Fourier-domain OCT for higher-resolution measurements. Finally, we present two fairly classic examples of application, in retinal imaging and bacterial biofilm imaging.
