3.1 Connecting friction measurement: a general problem

While calibration laboratories have a role to play in connecting CFL measurements, pavement testing laboratories are also involved and must have expertise in this field.

In order to meet the requirements of EN ISO/CEI 17025, some laboratories have had to develop their own methodology. to connect the sensors of the adhesion meter and document robust operating procedures, all under the supervision of a metrological manager who had to be trained and empowered to carry out his role.
