1. Selection criteria

The choice may simply be guided by the nature of the material to be tested. Here, too, you need to be aware of the specific studies being carried out. For example, in the healthcare sector, body temperature measurement is particularly important for newborns and children with immune deficiencies. The decision to hospitalize may depend on it. The conclusion of 44 studies involving several thousand cases recommends the use of liquid dilatation thermometers rather than tympanic infrared thermography.

Price, which fluctuates greatly from one supplier to another, will not be discussed here, although it is certainly a decisive factor in the final choice. We can, however, announce the following: for the same performance, the thermoelectric couple is less expensive than the resistor.
