4. Vision tools

Vision tools use image processing algorithms [H 3 608] , [P 855] . These algorithms can be applied to two types of system:

1) programmable systems: programming in a computer language using function libraries; these systems require mastery of a development language, but can perform any function;

2) configurable systems: configuration and parameterization of treatment-specific tools via specialized software. These systems do not require in-depth computer knowledge, but are limited to the tools offered. Application development uses tools that are graphically superimposed on the image and associated with parameters to be set.
