1.1 Automation
The use of IT has become a classic way of bringing reliability and safety to industrial processes and services. Railway control systems are a good example. The combination of automation of basic functions and human supervision means that operators are relieved of repetitive tasks and given the task of monitoring the system as a whole. Transport companies have introduced centralized operating stations into their organization (for monitoring stations, red lights, traffic, vehicle fleets, etc.) with the aim of assisting those responsible for understanding abnormal events and choosing the appropriate strategy.
