1. The pre-contractual period
The company has a project to overhaul or upgrade its IT system. This project is the result of an identified need. Every company has its own specific needs. Such a need may be identified by the company's management functions (CEO, CFO, managing director...) who wish to benefit from a system that will provide them with new data (particularly in terms of accounting and finance), or by the so-called operational functions (IT director in particular) who have identified the need to upgrade the IT system due to the excessive number of malfunctions in the existing system, its obsolescence in relation to the state of the art, or the system's inability to manage certain changes in the company. In the case of international groups, this need may also be the result of a decision by the parent company.
