9. Conclusion
Spectro-imaging opens the way to better identification of materials, thanks to its potential to discriminate between a greater number of materials than conventional imaging, as well as to a better understanding of their state.
The aim of this article is to present the essential elements for understanding a hyperspectral image, requiring knowledge of the physics of the phenomena to be observed, the influence of the environment, understanding the measured signal, the physics of instrumental measurement and the physical processing required to estimate the desired parameter, with a deliberate focus on remote sensing.
