4. Physical influences on weighing results

Physical influences are often to blame when the weight display is not stable, when results increase or decrease slowly, or when values are incorrect.

The most common causes are :

  • improper handling of the products to be weighed;

  • incorrect location of the scale;

  • evaporation or absorption of moisture by the products to be weighed;

  • products to be weighed or containers charged with static electricity;

  • products to be weighed or magnetic containers.
